Sulfur: properties and benefits

Sulfur is a mineral with a powerful purifying and detoxifying action. In particular for our digestive system (especially for the intestine which helps to free the waste produced by the digestive process) and for the lungs. It also has a purifying and protective role on our skin and hair system as well as on the connective tissues (tendons and ligaments) which it helps to keep in good health. It is a powerful liver purifier and helps regenerate the liver when damaged by even severe states of intoxication. It is a powerful antioxidant and also has proven anti-inflammatory properties. It is able to stimulate the production of glutathione (a substance with exceptional antioxidant properties) and therefore make our immune system stronger. Sulphurous water (with a high concentration of sulphur) is used to treat diseases of the skin and hair system as well as to purify our respiratory system from impurities that accumulate in it as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle (abuse of cigarettes, alcohol, etc.). It is contained in meat, fish, eggs, garlic, onion and a large number of vegetables (radicchio, cabbage, broccoli, asparagus, leeks, etc. A deficiency of sulfur in the body can cause skin problems, joint pain, exhaustion, insomnia etc. An excess of it can cause intestinal dysfunction and states of exhaustion and nausea.
