Sage: Properties and benefits

Sage is an herb with therapeutic properties known since ancient times. In particular, it is known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic action for inflammation of the oral cavity and in particular for gingivitis. It is also very useful in case of inflammation of the respiratory tract and gastrointestinal system (being very useful especially in case of gastritis and colitis). Its good fiber content makes it an excellent remedy in case of constipation and related problems (intestinal dysbiosis, flatulence, etc.). Mallow is a plant very rich in mineral salts (potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, etc.) which make it an excellent remineralizer and tonic. It also contains vitamin A and group B vitamins and for this reason it is particularly suitable for the protection of our skin and eyes as well as for the proper functioning of the nervous system and metabolic activity as a whole. For topical use it can be used, with compresses, on skin irritations of various kinds. For internal use it can be consumed in infusion also associated with other plants with similar properties (nettle, plantain etc.) which enhance its beneficial effects for our health.
