Vitamin B8 (biotin): Properties and benefits

Vitamin B8 is a vitamin involved, like most B vitamins, in the metabolism of fats, sugars (carbohydrates) and proteins. It has a very strong protective action on our skin and our hair system (as well as on cartilage). It is therefore particularly suitable in all cases where there are problems related to the skin (acne, dermatitis, etc.) and hair (alopecia, hair loss, etc.). It is very available in nature being contained in cheeses, vegetables, egg yolk, peanuts, mushrooms, brewer’s yeast etc. Its deficiency can lead to skin pathologies (rashes, eczema, etc.) and the hair system, states of anxiety, depression and exhaustion.
