Radish: Properties and benefits

Radish is a cruciferous vegetable with strong detoxifying properties. In particular, it is able to promote diuresis and renal activity as a whole. It is therefore able to stimulate the purging of harmful substances (toxins) from our body. It has sedative and calming properties and is therefore very useful in all those cases in which alterations of the nervous system are found. It is also very useful for intestinal well-being as it is able to promote intestinal motility and transit. Thanks to their vitamin C content they also have antioxidant and protective effects on our cardiovascular system. It also contains group B vitamins which are very useful for the well-being of our metabolic system and our nervous system. It is a good source of mineral salts (potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, magnesium etc. ) which give it invigorating and restorative properties. Due to their precious health virtues, it is recommended to consume these precious vegetables as much as possible, also associated, in salads, with other vegetables with a strong detoxifying and purifying power (such as watercress, garlic, chicory, lettuce).
